After receiving lullaby Cds as gifts for his newborn daughter Rook, Nashville independent producer and guitarist Wendell Tilley realized a bluegrass version of these traditional lullabies had not been done.

Choosing a mostly recognizable song list, Tilley invited multi instrumentalist Jonathan Yudkin, and dobro players Bruce Bouton and Dan Dugmore to the project.

Bruce Bouton, having worked with both Garth Brooks and Brooks and Dunn, brought a contemporary melodic quality to the dobro.

Dan Dugmore, of Linda Ronstadt fame, played additional dobro, at moments harmonizing with Bouton, creating a haunting dobro sweetness.

These elements, combined with Yudkin's signature feel of bluegrass and gaelic expressiveness, resulted in a most satisfying and unique presentation we like to call Bluegrass Lullabies.
