| After receiving lullaby Cds as gifts for his newborn daughter
Rook, Nashville independent producer and guitarist Wendell Tilley
realized a bluegrass version of these traditional lullabies had
not been done. |
| |
| Choosing a mostly recognizable song list, Tilley invited multi
instrumentalist Jonathan Yudkin, and dobro players Bruce Bouton
and Dan Dugmore to the project. |
| |
| Bruce Bouton, having worked with both Garth Brooks and Brooks
and Dunn, brought a contemporary melodic quality to the dobro. |
| |
| Dan Dugmore, of Linda Ronstadt fame, played additional dobro,
at moments harmonizing with Bouton, creating a haunting dobro sweetness. |
| |
| These elements, combined with Yudkin's signature feel of bluegrass
and gaelic expressiveness, resulted in a most satisfying and unique
presentation we like to call Bluegrass Lullabies. |
